Commercial: Warehouse Setout – Designcraft, Hume
Task: Position the Designcraft Warehouse as per the approved plans
To guide the construction of the Designcraft Warehouse, we were tasked to level the building platform to the approved floor level, set out guidelines (most commercial projects have main grids running through the site east and north), set out columns and set out benchmarks for the builder to follow during construction.
This was achieved by obtaining hard copy and electronic versions of the approved plans to calculate the position of the warehouse in relation to boundaries and the height of the warehouse. Survey marks were located from control points and enabled us to set out the warehouse external corners/offset gridlines as per the builder’s requirements.
Our involvement ensured the warehouse was built to the specified architectural design and positioned as indicated on the approved warehouse plans.
